It makes me want to get out and rediscover South Kerry its the heart of the Kerry

Waterville on the beautiful Ring of Kerry is this year playing host to the Charlie Chaplin Film Festival http://charliechaplincomedyfilmfestival.com/. The festival is taking place next August 25th to 28th and promises to be the highlight of the Summer Season. The most exciting event of the festival will be the gala screening of the circus which will take place for the first time in a circus tent . Tickets for the events will go on sale this December perfect christmas present.

After living in London and various other parts of Ireland over the years, I must admitt that I have come to realise how lucky I am to be living in Waterville. If the last couple of weeks are anything to go by we are in for a fantastic summer, there are endless amounts of outdoor activities in the area for me its horse riding on the sandy beaches or on the miles of by rounds around the village, the place has been flocked with surfers who have experienced amazing waves for the last few months, we have 2 excellent golf courses and with activity centres dottted around the Iveragh pennisula there are plenty of activites to keep one occupied.  Aswell as the outdoor pursuits Waterville and the surrounding area has alot to offer, Tech Amergin in Waterville offers an extensive number of courses and workshops, it also holds arts events and even have its own Arts Festival “Feile na Greine”  in July.  The area is bustling with restaurants and pubs and has a large population of young people who have moved back and settled in the area. Anyway my point to all this is that we have a number of vacancies for summer jobs for anyone that is interested in getting out of the rate race for a couple of months, we have a breakfast waitress position, coffee shop attendant, commis chef and most importantly second chef so contact me if this life sound s good to you check out ours pics

Hi, for those of you who don’t already know the Butler Arms is a perfect wedding venue in South Kerry. Over the last 2 years we have being building up our wedding profile, hosting a few weddings last year and we have already bookings for 2009. Last season we helped Avril & Richard & Geraldine & Jim celebrate their special days in style, both couples enjoyed fabulous weather and reports back from the 2 days were outstanding from the couples and their guests. We host weddings here in the hotel all year-round and christmas weddings here at the Butler Arms have proved to be particularly special. Myself and Louise are on hand to help you with all your requirements especially as most people have to organise her wedding from afar. visit:www.butlerarms.com
